Nimpon sells ECO Kompressoren to Ingersoll-Rand
Ingersoll-Rand has acquired 100 percent of the shares of ECO Kompressoren bv, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nimpon Trade and Services bv.
ECO Kompressoren bv employs 30 people and has an annual revenue of over € 5 million.
It has been active on the Dutch market for almost 30 years, selling and servicing air compressors. ECO Kompressoren bv will become part of Ingersoll-Rand's Air Solutions business unit, a leading provider of air compression technologies and services.
Ingersoll-Rand, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol “IR,” is a leading innovation and solutions provider for the global markets of Security and Safety, Climate Control, Industrial Solutions and Infrastructure. The company's diverse product portfolio ecompasses such leading industrial and commercial brands as Schlage locks and security solutions, Thermo King transport and temperature control equipment, Hussmann commercial and retail refrigeration equipment, Bobcat compact equipment, Club Car golf cars and utility vehicles, and Ingersoll-Rand industrial and construction equipment. For 2003, the company reported revenues of US $9.9 billion.
According both to ECO and Nimpon management, this acquisition gives ECO Kompressoren far better growth opportunities than it would have had within the Nimpon group.
