Nimpon sells Hyster dealership to Barloworld

Barloworld Limited is an international industrial brand management company with an annual turnover of US$ 3 billion. Barloworld employs some 23.000 people in 31 countries worldwide. It markets products and services in over 100 countries.

Barloworld represents many of the world’s greatest brands like Caterpillar, Hyster, Perkins, Ditch Witch and many of the world’s leading automotive brands.
Barloworld has its primary listing on the South African stock exchange.

Geveke Intern Transport bv has been the exclusive dealer for Hyster in the Netherlands for more than 50 years.

Barloworld Limited has acquired 100 percent of the shares of Geveke Intern Transport bv. The purchase includes Geveke’s rental lift truck fleet of over 1000 long term and short term rental units owned by a joint venture Geveke Heftruck Verhuur bv.

The company, which employs 150 people, has an annual revenue of € 30 million.

Barloworld is the world’s largest independent lift truck dealer and has represented the world-leading Hyster brand since 1929. Geveke Intern Transport will be added to its footprint of Hyster dealerships in the southeast United States, United Kingdom and Belgium.

According to Nimpon management this acquisition gives Geveke Intern Transport far better growth opportunities than it would have had within
the Nimpon group.
