Growth and profit through swift acting and smart solutions
Interhandler Sp. zoo in Poland is the importer and dealer of JCB construction equipment and agricultural machinery. It covers the country with sixteen branch offices and a network of service engineers. The business was performing quite well at the time. Dutch parent company Netagco though, suffered from poor results in another division. This eventually led to the bankruptcy of the holding company, which put Interhandler under financial pressure as well. The company found itself at the top of a daunting downward spiral.
Nimbus managed to stabilise Interhandler’s position fairly quickly. In order really to improve the performance of the company, however, more action was needed. The real breakthrough came when Nimbus convinced the banks to hand over management control of Interhandler under a preliminary agreement. Nimbus and the company’s management designed a plan to reboost the company, thus creating a solid base for the strategic suppliers and all the financial parties involved.
With the help of JCB, new product launches were promoted strongly in the market and new marketing programmes were introduced. Interhandler re-entered the market for used machines with a carefully developed strategy. Nimbus provided the financial means to invest in IT tools. Interhandler has found its way back up the spiral and has more than quadrupled its sales since the start of this cooperation. Needless to say that Nimbus made sure that this growth happened in a profitable way.
