Schokinag Schokolade-Industrie GmbH, located in the German city of Mannheim, plays a crucial part in that journey. Established in 1923, the company transforms cacao butter and mass, as well as roasted and ground cacao beans, into edible industrial chocolate – including chocolate couvertures, from liquid to solid. These products are shipped primarily to companies in the confectionery industry, where they are made into end products. With an annual turnover of 175 million euros and a strong position as one of the world’s largest chocolate-processing factories, Schokinag became a strong addition to Nimbus’ portfolio at a turning point in the company’s history.
