When it comes to (ultra) high purity media technologies that meet the most exacting standards, it takes a truly dedicated specialist to deliver the quality that demanding clients require. Intega is that specialist. With more than 60 years of experience in the most innovative of industries and with 6 locations in Europe (five in Germany and 1 in Switzerland), Intega is known internationally as a leading expert in the installation of ultra-high-purity (UHP) supply systems, primarily serving the semiconductor and pharma industry. To fully harness the growth potential presented by the rapid developments in these industries, Nimbus acquired Intega from its previous owner, setting the path for new opportunities and international expansion.
Founded in 1946 as a metal workshop in Munich, Intega has always been defined by a continuous dedication to craftsmanship, precision and quality. In 1962, the company installed its first high purity gas system for the Siemens AG in Munich, after which Intega grew into a highly differentiated and leading provider of high purity media technologies. The company’s key products are gas supply systems, chemical supply and drain systems, as well as water systems that meet the high purity and safety critical requirements of the semiconductor and pharma industries. In addition, the Company’s know-how of the semiconductor production process is enabling Intega to diversify its activities into the production of customized equipment for process tool makers. Even though semiconductors are generally associated with a certain cyclicality, Intega’s business model is strong and sustainable. So when the company’s previous owner, gas provider Air Liquide, concluded that Intega’s business didn’t fit within Air Liquide’s core strategy, Nimbus was keen to step in.
Experienced in carve-out situations, Nimbus uses its hands-on approach to support Intega’s next phase of growth, enabling the high-tech company to deliver on its strategy and realize its full potential in existing and new markets. Already serving a host of reputable blue-chip customers such as ABB, Bayer, Bosch, Carl Zeiss, Infineon and Mattson Technology, Intega is looking to expand its innovative business. Like most carve-out projects, new (ERP) systems and other practical measures are necessary for the company to become truly independent. Supported by Nimbus, Intega is adapting a system more suitable for their project based business, allowing them to make faster and more efficient decisions. The result? A much more agile company, ready to capitalize on growth opportunities anywhere in the world.
