Dedert IJs is one of Europe’s leading pure-play water & fruit ice manufacturers with decades of water ice manufacturing expertise serving numerous customers throughout Europe. Based in Roermond, the Netherlands, the company operates a modern production facility with a broad product offering, capability set, and an extensive recipe library, allowing it to cater to evolving customer and market needs. In September 2023 Nimbus acquired the company following a carve-out process from Lineage Logistics LLC. Nimbus’ experience and expertise will support the needed professionalization of the company, preparing it for the next phase of growth and maturity.

For Nimbus, Dedert IJs is the second investment in its fifth fund, and the setting fits well with the hands-on nature of Nimbus. The focus for improvement lies in further investments, implementing solid control processes for production and logistics, as well as strengthening the organization in multiple layers. Through commercial development, new investments and operational improvements Dedert IJs will be a solid partner for its customers, suppliers and workforce.
