Jan Cees Prins

Jan Cees Prins studied Business Administration at Rotterdam School of Management/Erasmus University Rotterdam. Jan Cees worked in Singapore for Rabobank, where he was a project and program manager on improving management information and performance and he joined the risk department as a credit analyst, specializing in trade and commodity finance. After relocating to the Netherlands he joined the mergers & acquisitions advisory department of Rabobank. In this role he was involved in the execution and origination of cross-border M&A deals and equity issues in the TMI (telecom, media and internet) and F&A (food & agri) sector.

Thereafter Jan Cees became responsible for setting up Phoenix Recovery Capital. This label focuses on investments in special situations and restructurings. In this role he successfully built up a portfolio of over 10 companies and executed numerous transactions, including acquisitions, exits or wind-downs of portfolio companies. Through his involvement, Jan Cees led divestment and investment programs to achieve growth and recoveries for portfolio companies and also originated and executed performance and working capital improvement initiatives. Jan Cees enjoys working with entrepreneurs and management teams, combining his broad knowledge with his experiences on financial and operational restructurings to increase efficiency and performance.
